BCS Volunteer Days

During the month of September BCS will have three offsite volunteer day activities for employees to participate in. Follow along on social media (@BCSFinancial) to see our employees live into our mission and vision by supporting the following organizations:

Habitat for Humanity

The main focus of Habitat for Humanity in the Chicagoland area is to rehab and revitalize neighborhoods. The conditions in the environments where people are born, live, learn, work, and play affect a wide range of health, functioning, and quality-of-life outcomes and risks. BCS volunteer activities include anything it takes to build a home, including framing, siding, painting, laying flooring, roofing, trim work, landscaping, etc.

Ronald McDonald House

As a high-cost claims expert, BCS has seen first-hand how costly many pediatric illnesses including cancer can be. This can cause a huge financial and emotional toll on patients and their families. Ronald McDonald House provides a home away from home for families with sick children to help remove some of the burden. BCS volunteers will provide meal preparation for families and complete yard work to clean up the outdoor space.

Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry

Access to nutritious food is considered a critical pathway in influencing many health outcomes. Those who cannot afford or obtain quality food run the risk of developing a variety of conditions or exacerbating illnesses they may already have, and this occurs in minority communities disproportionately. BCS volunteers will demonstrate their commitment to ending local hunger by sorting food donations, preparing boxes for neighbors, assisting with distribution, helping with special programs, and/or working in the vegetable garden at this local food pantry.
